At the beginning of every season we are super excited to see new and exciting designs that the couturier show on the catwalks. Not only the cuts and materials are discussed. Also the featured color shades show the direction of this years fashion development. A major player in this regard is the US company PANTONE, which honors the trend colors. This decision is made in regards to catwalk trends but also social developments and social morals.
Next to many striking colors a classic color made it to the trend colors of 2019 – Navy Blue, a dark blue and a calm contrast to the rest of the strong color palette. Now the question why does fashion love blue so much? I can only answer this question from my viewpoint why I love navy so much. There are many reasons but I will share my top 3 with you:

2.You can combine blue to almost all colors and is lately a total trend in combination with black. This fashion combination was an absolute taboo a few years ago and is now totally trending. Also in combination with beige and white is the dark blue shade a great contrast and makes the other nuances shine.
3.Many materials appeal I dark blue very special and valuable. Dark blue silk shines in a beautiful vibrancy and is therefore a good choice of evening attire. But also blue silk shines and appeals brighter than black.
