True Love: Do you believe in love?

” Suddenly your heart beats faster, butterflies in the belly, love at first sight – is there anything like that at all?”

Last week, when I was laying at the beach with my boyfriend, I found a very interesting article by our dear blogger colleague Vicky Wanka when browsing through the vastness of the Internet. An article about the single-life of successful women, which gave me a real ponder. Thoughts that ultimately led me to tell you my story about this topic.

“True love – does true love really exist or are humans just replaceable?”

I mean, look around … how often do you see couples who exude unlimited bliss and true love ?! If you observe some couples, it’s becoming increasingly common that many couples simply do not fit together at all. People are now gregarious animals and look for company. They are looking to find a partner for life, some of them do it because of love, than there are some who simply don’t want to be alone. Or maybe you stick with someone who you don’t even love because it just became a simple habit.

I asked myself these questions about one and a half years ago, and one thing I realized was: I’d rather be alone and happy than in a half-hearted relationship and unhappy!

“Even though I would be never meant for me to find true love, there is always one thing for me – the love for myself!”

And here is the cracking point … Love yourself before you can give love and receive love from others! So 1.5 years ago, I decided to throw myself  back to the single market in the age of 25 years … and I must say I am not a good at it at all. Not because I am superficial or something else – I would rather call myself “old fashion”.

But still, I never gave up the hope of great love. This is also when my mom comes into the game. Because she showed me what real, I mean reaal true love is. She met the love of her life in Venice at the age of 51 and got married almost seven years later. Even though we are both not spiritual people, she gave me the tip to send my very strong desire into the universe. Also Luisa Lion advised me to write my wish for my perfect dreammaker or my great love on a piece of paper.

As I said, the hope or faith in the great love was there … I knew my true love is still waiting for me and I could hardly wait to meet him. And faster than expected, he was there after just 7 months of waiting, by a random click on Facebook… I can’t describe it but I knew from the first seconds “He’s the one!” And that what ever will happen to us, will be something very special.

Feelings were awakened in me, which I have never felt before in life. He is everything I could ever wish for in a man. This may sound kitschy, but those who have already found their great love know exactly what I’m talking about.

Of course, every couple is different … but there are so many couples out there who are secretly unhappy and out of loyalty to the partner or out of fear to be alone, they miss their chance to meet their great love!

I can only say … do not give up on hope and love and always listen to your heart and your gut feeling!
