OMG … I still can’t believe it, but after several years I finally bought my dream shoes. Say hello to the typical Givenchy boots in a dark red suede leather.
Why did I choose to buy the shoes after two years?
Although it sometimes seems like bloggers buy designer pieces with surprising ease, this assumption doesn’t fully reflect the reality. I think it’s because a fashion-minded person has other priorities. Of course, I could save a lot more money or invest it in technology. But there has never been anything, that excited me as much as fashion. Therefore, it’s obvious for me to spend my savings for something that makes me happy and that can be something different for each person. What is it for you?
It’s important for me to reconsider purchases and make them conscious. Because as soon as you go for the the luxury segment, a purchase is always an investment that you should be aware of.
Why did I choose the designer shoes and not a pair of the look alikes?
Two years ago I fell in love with this Givenchy Boots and since then compared every shoe with it. I even ordered them in the color cognac before, but something didn’t convince me. So I returned them.
A few month later I was strolling through Hamburg with Sonja and spottet this ones. The shoes were just perfect and on sale. The red boots convinced me at the first sight, with it’s price and the unique color.
So, if you’ve been thinking of a designer item for a long time, you’d better save some money to fulfill your dream. No substitute will ever make you so happy. But if you have to limit your quality of life significantly while saving for a material object, a limit has been reached.
“No bag or shoes in the world can give you the joy of living you get while having coffee with friends or traveling.”
