“Tastes change.”
I’m sure everybody knows at least one situation where you’ve changed your mind completely. It’s true, tastes are various – But also the own taste can change from time to time so you may end up liking something you’ve never liked before.
“Hate turns into love. Contempt turns into admiration.”
Whether when it comes to fashion, design, cars or to the general sense of taste, our taste changes constantly and our mind gets broaden every time. It is a fact that humans are just creatures of habit. The longer they watch a situation again and again or try an unfamiliar taste over and over, the faster they get used to it until the once foreign taste turns into a preference.
Crazy, but that’s exactly what I used to do when it comes to coffee. I didn’t drink a sip of coffee until I turned 24 and can’t imagine a life without it today.
“And no one can ever tell me that their first sip of beer at the age of 16 was a treat. Nobody liked it in the beginning and still we all drink it today! “
It’s the same for me when it comes to fashion. I’ve never thought that I would ever own a cord shirt or much less a pair of cycling shorts. And now I am actually wearing both together in one outfit.
But actually it’s something nice to broaden your mind, be open-minded for new things and try unfamiliar tastes. Because this is the only way to grow!
