“Arthur est un perroquet. Et boum c’est le choc!”
These two sentences may be familiar to anyone who has studied French as a foreign language at school. It all began at fifth grade in High School, the green Découvertes 1 on the table and I slowly started to develop a passion for France, especially for Paris. Because of that I was even more excited to go to Paris for Fashion Week. This was not only because it was our first Fashion Week in Paris, but also because Paris simply has an unforgettable charm. The architecture, the sights, the little sweet cafes, the smell of fresh croissants, all of that make Paris something really special.
Even though I speak less French than English, it still makes me feel like I’m slowly getting back into the language. Without any inhibitions, I just try to chat in French, which always reminds me of my first French class back in school. In addition to this, I probably chose a rather classic outfit, which reminds me of an classic school uniform. I don’t know why, but when I put the look together, I had to think of Paris straight away. And I must confess, in the outfit I even felt a bit like a real Parisian.
