I’ve always wondered how some bloggers can cope with traveling for months. To live day to day out of a suitcase, from one fashion week to the next and from one place to the next… and just never to be at home.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and much more I love traveling. But isn’t it, as they say so beautifully, always best at home?
I can’t get enough of traveling, exploring new countries and discovering unknown places. But after every journey, however short it may be, I always look forward to my home.
I think the crux of the matter is that most bloggers travel with their partners. Always with their loved ones at their side, they travel to the most beautiful places in the world – so the longing for home is probably of secondary importance.
“Even though we have been travelling a lot for many years, I have only noticed in the last two months what it means to be constantly on the move.“
Sometimes it wasn’t even 24 hours we had at home to wash the laundry and unpack and repack the suitcases. And as you already know, spontaneity is very important in our job. A few weeks ago we thought that June was going to be very relaxed… and we barely made a mistake we were in Greece, right after that in New York and already we went on to the annual MBFW. And now we are here, in Berlin, an event that we definitely won’t miss.
And as soon as the travel marathon is over, I have to pack my suitcases again and we will take to the skies. But not somewhere – the time couldn’t have been better, because my friend Flo and I are flying to Zanzibar for our well-deserved summer vacation. And I can hardly wait!
