It’s unbelievable how much the weather affects your own mind. Does it appear to you that people in southern countries always seem to be more positive compared to us Germans?
“Is it because of our mentality or maybe the bad weather in Germany ?!”
Okay, it’s been proven that sunbeams trigger vitamin D and endorphins, also called hormones of happiness . But is our mood and well-being really dependent on the weather?
For my part, I’ve found out that I’m extremely vulnerable to the weather circumstances. Let it be positive, or negative. Last year, I even doubted my beloved hometown Hamburg because I missed the sun way too much. Our summer literally fell into the water. Nothing but rain, gray clouds and more rain. My motivation was also gray and frustrating.
When the weather is good, the sun is shining and the temperatures are pleasant, I start the day much better. I feel good, I am motivated and full of energy. Fortunately, the spring of Hamburg shows its best side and I could not be happier about it.
