My mom recently asked me why I’m often dressed so sporty and less chic. Maybe because there was a time in my youth, in which I have worn very smart clothes. Dresses and blouses, lots of lace and pastel colors. Looking back, my style was more playful, feminine and romantic. But especially more delicate and younger.
Meanwhile, I don’t want to look young and girly at all. Often I’m considered to be much younger and therefore I sometimes feel to be not taken so seriously or underestimated. But I’m a young woman and not a little girl anymore. So I would like to be perceived by the society and therefore, probably unconsciously changed my style.
But I also have to say, that in a big city you have a lot more freedom and inspiration in terms of fashion. Nobody looks at me stunned when I’m wearing an eye-catching coat or shoes. For that reason, I need less self-confidence and courage to experiment with my outfits. That’s why I wear a super sporty look with a hoodie and sneakers on one day and an elegant business look with a flared pants and high heels on another day. I don’t want to and can’t put myself in a drawer. So I just wear what I want every single day
This time I decided to go for an elegant business look in warm beige and camel shades. The mix of different materials and cut forms, such as knit, a woven wool fabric and the wide pants characterize the outfit. In terms of color, all garments come from a color family.
A slightly different business look in beige and camel
But the best thing about this outfit is, that I’ve had all these items on my radar for a long time and have found them on sale or special discount promotions. Sometimes it pays off to be patient and not always want to have everything directly;)
